Menu names can oversell, so let us describe this one plainly. The Asian Multi Herbs Head Spa is our head spa ritual, the warm-water cleanse, the long scalp massage, the conditioning care, with one addition: a warmed blend of traditional herbs woven through the session. It costs $88 for 60 minutes.
What the herbs actually add
We are not going to hand you a list of exotic herb names with promised effects, because that would be marketing pretending to be medicine. What the herbal blend genuinely adds is sensory, and it is not subtle. Warmth, held against the scalp and shoulders in a way hands alone cannot sustain. A deep, earthy scent that fills the room and lingers faintly in your hair afterward. And a sense of tradition: herbal warmth has been part of bathing and body care across Asia for centuries, and this session borrows that spirit.
What it does not add is medical outcomes. If a spa tells you herbs will regrow hair or detox your body, read that with suspicion. We would rather you book this because warm and fragrant sounds like a good hour. Most days, that is reason enough.
How it compares to the Refresh
Our Refresh Head Spa is $98 for 60 minutes. The Asian Multi Herbs is $88 for the same hour. Neither is the upgrade of the other; they are two flavors of the same ritual. The Refresh keeps things classic and puts all the attention on water, hands and conditioning. The herbal session trades a slice of that for warmth and scent. If you are brand new to head spas and want the textbook version explained first, our guide to what a Japanese head spa is covers the whole ritual step by step.
Who tends to pick it
- Returning guests. People who loved the Refresh and want a different flavor of the same hour.
- Scent people. If the candle aisle is your happy place, this session will make sense to you within the first five minutes.
- Gray-day bookings. On a cool Seattle evening the warmth earns its keep. Guests describe this as the coziest thing on the menu.
- The curious. Some guests book it simply because the name caught their eye. They usually ask the most questions, and we like that.
Want a smaller taste first?
There is a sampler path. The Hot Mixed Herb Bag is a $20 add-on on any service: a warmed cloth bag of the herb blend, pressed along the shoulders and scalp during whatever session you booked. Add it to a Refresh or a massage, see whether the warmth and the scent land for you, and book the full herbal hour next time if they do. Our add-ons guide covers it alongside the other six.
The Asian Multi Herbs Head Spa is on the board every day from 10am to 10pm, last booking 8:30pm, at our Japanese-style head spa in Belltown. At $88 it is also the most affordable full-length head spa we offer, which makes it a quietly good first visit too.
