時間 Choosing Your Session

60 or 90 minutes: choosing your first head spa.

Booking your first head spa and stuck on the time question? Here is how we honestly explain the difference between 30, 60 and 90 minutes, and who each length actually fits.

The most common question we get from first-time guests is not about the treatment. It is about time. Thirty, sixty or ninety minutes: which one should you book? The honest answer depends on how you relax, how much time you have and what you want to spend. Here is how we walk people through it at the front desk.

30 minutes: the toe-dip

Scalp Care is $55 for 30 minutes. It is the shortest thing on our menu, and it is exactly what it sounds like: a focused scalp cleanse and massage, without the longer ritual built around it.

This is the right pick if you are curious but not convinced. It fits inside a lunch break. And it gives you a real taste of the work, warm water and genuine hands-on time, so you can decide whether the full ritual is for you. Plenty of guests start here and book the 60 minute version on their way out.

60 minutes: the classic

The Refresh Head Spa is $98 for 60 minutes, and it is what most people mean when they say head spa. A short consultation, a slow warm-water cleanse, a long scalp massage that travels down to the neck and shoulders, conditioning care and a soft finish. If you have read our guide to what a Japanese head spa is, this is that ritual, complete.

Sixty minutes is enough. That matters to say plainly, because spas have a habit of nudging everyone toward the biggest thing on the menu. If it is your first visit and you want to experience a head spa properly, book the Refresh and do not overthink it.

90 minutes: for people who fall asleep in the chair

The Premium Head Spa and the Wealth Head Spa are each $139 for 90 minutes. They exist for a specific kind of guest: the one who is out cold ten minutes into the massage and wakes up disappointed that it is over.

If that is you, if massage sends you somewhere else and an hour always feels like it ends mid-sentence, the extra half hour is worth the extra $41. It is also the right call for a big occasion, or for the kind of week a single hour cannot untangle.

What more time actually buys

Here is the honest part. More time does not mean more product piled on your head. What you are buying is pace. In a 90 minute session nothing is compressed: the cleanse is slower, the massage stays longer where you actually hold tension, and the neck and shoulder work can go deep instead of brief. The steps are the same. The hurry is gone.

That is why we do not tell first-timers they need 90 minutes. You need it when you already know you love this, or when you know yourself well enough to be sure.
